Non-Custodial by Design: NexTrader AI Never Holds Your Funds

Security at NexTrader AI starts with a simple architectural choice: your money stays in your own accounts. The platform connects to your brokerage and exchange accounts to help you research and execute, but it is built so it cannot move your funds out.

How We Protect Your Accounts and Credentials

These are the safeguards built into how NexTrader AI connects to your accounts. They reduce certain risks, but no system can remove market risk or replace your own security habits.

Non-custodial by design

NexTrader AI never holds your funds. Your assets stay in your own brokerage or exchange account at all times, and you keep decision control over every action.

Withdrawals disabled

Each connection is limited to trade-only permissions. Withdrawal permissions are disabled, so the platform can help you place orders in your own account but cannot move money out of it.

AES-256 encryption

API credentials are protected with AES-256 encryption, both at rest and in transit, so the keys that connect your accounts are never stored or transmitted in plain text.

Secure SnapTrade connections

Brokerage connections are established through SnapTrade across 400+ brokerages. Balance queries are read-only, and you can review and manage each connection you authorize.

Permission monitoring

Connections are monitored in real time so their permission scope and status stay visible. If a connection's state changes, you can see it and disconnect at any time.

Fast, direct execution

When you choose to act, orders are routed through direct exchange APIs with sub-200ms execution latency, so your decision reaches your own account quickly.

What Non-Custodial Really Means

Non-custodial is more than a label — it describes what NexTrader AI can and cannot do with your accounts.

When you connect a brokerage through SnapTrade or an exchange through an API key, you grant a specific, limited scope of access. NexTrader AI can read balances and, when you decide to act, help place orders in your own account. It cannot withdraw or transfer your assets, because withdrawal permissions are disabled on every connection.

This design keeps custody where it belongs — with you and your regulated brokerage or exchange. It also means the decision to buy, sell, or pass is always yours: every signal is verified server-side and screened by the AI Risk Governor before it can be executed, and you confirm each action yourself.

Account Protection Best Practices

Strong platform architecture works best alongside strong personal security habits. These steps help keep your accounts safe.

  • Use a strong, unique password for your NexTrader AI account and for each connected brokerage or exchange.
  • Enable multi-factor authentication wherever your brokerage, exchange, and email provider support it.
  • Review your connected accounts periodically and disconnect any connection you no longer use.
  • Confirm that each connection keeps withdrawals disabled and only grants the access you intend.
  • Practice in Paper Trading Mode first, so you understand the platform before committing real capital.
  • Be cautious of phishing: NexTrader AI will never ask for your withdrawal credentials or seed phrases.

A Note on Security Claims

We describe security measures that reflect how the product is built, such as non-custodial connections, disabled withdrawals, AES-256 encryption, and real-time permission monitoring. We do not claim certifications, audits, or compliance badges we have not earned, and we will only publish such details when they are confirmed.
